Section titled “What this page will cover”Alphabetical list of every Kanri term with a plain-English definition. Planned entries include:
- Attendance — a record that a member was present for a class session
- Billing Plan — a named product that members can be subscribed to (e.g. “Monthly Karate”)
- Booking — a reservation for a specific session; can be confirmed or pending
- Class — a type of training within a program (e.g. “Beginner Class” within the “Adult Karate” program)
- Class Variant — a specific time slot for a class (e.g. Monday 6pm, Wednesday 7pm)
- Contact — a person linked to a member (parent, guardian, emergency contact, or billing contact)
- Gallery — a collection of photos, videos, or files for a school or individual member
- Group — a named collection of members used for targeting broadcasts
- Interaction — an immutable log entry on a member’s record (incident, call, meeting note)
- Kiosk — the self-check-in screen used by members to sign themselves into classes
- Lead — a prospective member being tracked in Kanri, typically created when someone submits the Lead Page. Leads progress through stages (enquiry, trial booked, waiver signed) and can be converted into full member profiles.
- Lead Page — the public sign-up page for your school, where prospective members submit their details, optionally book a trial class, and optionally sign a waiver. No login required.
- Level — a rank within a program (e.g. White Belt, Yellow Belt) with promotion requirements
- Member — a person enrolled at your school
- Member Number — a numeric shortcut ID for kiosk sign-in
- Member Portal — the restricted Kanri view available to members when they log in
- Membership — an enrolment record linking a member to a program (the “what are they enrolled in?” record)
- Note — a mutable record on a member’s profile (medical conditions, discounts, preferences)
- Price — a specific amount and billing interval within a billing plan (e.g. $120/month Adult rate)
- Program — a category of training at your school (e.g. “Adult Karate”, “Junior Ballet”)
- Promotion — advancing a member from one level to the next
- Schedule — a recurring class timetable that generates individual sessions
- Session — a single occurrence of a scheduled class (e.g. Monday 6pm on 15 Jan)
- Subscription — a billing record that charges a member on a recurring basis (the “how are they paying?” record)
- Sync — the action of updating future sessions to match the current schedule template
