Lead Management
Lead Management is how Kanri helps you turn interested people into paying members. It covers the full journey a prospective member takes: from discovering your school online, to submitting their details, to booking and attending a trial class, to signing a waiver, to becoming a full member.
How leads work
Section titled “How leads work”When someone submits your Lead Page — the public sign-up form for your school — Kanri automatically creates a member profile for them with the type set to Lead. You can also manually create a member profile and set the type to Lead yourself.
A Lead profile works exactly like any other member profile. You can add notes, send messages, view attendance, and assign a membership. The Lead type is just a label that tells you this person hasn’t committed yet.
Each Lead has a lead status that tracks where they are in your pipeline:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Just submitted the lead form or was added manually. No one has followed up yet. |
| Contacted | Someone from your school has reached out to them. |
| Qualified | The lead is interested and likely to join. |
| Trial | Automatically set when the lead is given a trial subscription. |
| Converted | Set when the lead converts to a full paid membership. |
| Lost | No longer interested — not going to join. |
To update a lead’s status, open their member profile and click Edit. The Lead Status field is on the edit form.
Converting a lead
Section titled “Converting a lead”A lead becomes a Member automatically when they are given an active membership or subscription. At that point, Kanri updates their type from Lead to Member.
You don’t need to do anything special to “convert” a lead. Just add their membership or subscription as you would for any new member.
