Getting Started with Kanri
Follow this guide to go from a brand-new Kanri account to a fully running school. Each step builds on the previous one, so we recommend going through them in order.
The whole process takes around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how many programs and schedules you need to set up.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You’ll need a few things ready before you begin:
- Your school’s name, address, and timezone
- A bank account for payouts (Stripe will ask for the account number and institution)
- Your personal details for Stripe verification (legal name, date of birth, and sometimes a government-issued ID)
Kanri uses Stripe to process all payments. You don’t need an existing Stripe account, we’ll create one for you during setup.
The setup path
Section titled “The setup path”Follow these steps in order:
- Create your school: set up your Kanri account and connect to Stripe for payments.
- Configure initial settings: set your timezone, membership statuses, and branding.
- Create your first program: define what you teach, including classes and levels.
- Create your first schedule: set up when your classes run.
- Add your first member: enrol a student and assign them to a program.
- Set up billing: create a billing plan and charge your first member.
- Invite your team: give staff members access to Kanri.
Once you’ve completed these steps, your school is fully operational. Members can check in at the kiosk, you can take attendance, and billing runs automatically.
