Memberships

A membership is the member’s enrolment record.

It answers the question: Which program is this member enrolled in?

This is different from a subscription, which answers: How and when does this member pay?

A membership can store:

  • the program the member is enrolled in
  • their current level, if your school uses Levels
  • their membership status
  • sessions remaining, if you track classes in blocks
  • the last promotion date, if your school uses levels

Membership statuses are set by your school. They are not fixed across all schools.

Each status has:

  • a name, such as Active, On Hold, or Withdrawn
  • an active or inactive setting, which controls how Kanri treats that membership
  • A member can only have one membership per program at a time.
  • Ending a membership means changing it to an inactive status.
  • Memberships and subscriptions are independent. A member can have one without the other.
  1. Assign a membership.
  2. Change a membership status.
  3. Promote a level.
  4. End a membership.
